Dispenser

SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary according to qualifications and experience plus holiday WORKING HOURS: minimum requirement 26.5 hours a week in a shift pattern.

THE COMPANY: Fakenham Medical Practice is a Dispensing Doctors within a new purpose built building.

THE ROLE: You will primarily be in receipt and preparation of prescriptions, and will be expected to provide a high level of customer care.

Key Responsibilities for the Dispenser role to include:-

  • Processing medication requests to include repeat requests and Doctor acute requests
  • Quality control to ensure all prescriptions are accurate
  • Operating the clinical computer system
  • Ordering and re-ordering medications 
  • Dealing with patient and Doctor requests in a timely manner

THE CANDIDATE: For the role of Dispenser, you will be accurate and have excellent attention to detail. You must have strong customer facing skills and be customer focused. You share the company's goal of delivering excellent care to the patients. You must live within a commutable distance to Fakenham.

Key experience essential for the role of Dispenser:-

  • Experience is essential
  • A full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • Computer literacy would be advantageous

Dispnsary Position (maternity cover - 12 months)

A position has arisen for an experienced Dispenser (maternity cover 12 months) to join our busy Practice. The role will be split between the main surgery in Fakenham and the branch surgery at Walsingham.

Prescription Clerk Position

A position has arisen for an experienced Prescription Clerk to join our busy Practice. The role will be split between the main surgery in Fakenham and the branch surgery at Walsingham.

SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary according to qualifications and experience plus holiday

WORKING HOURS: minimum requirement 21.5 hours a week in a shift pattern.

THE COMPANY: Fakenham Medical Practice is a Dispensing Doctors within a new purpose built building.

THE ROLE:  Support the delivery of an efficient, effective and safe dispensary service. and will be expected to provide a high level of customer care.

Key Responsibilities for the Prescription Clerk role to include:-

• Receive and transfer prescriptions. Collect repeat prescriptions requests from the appropriate post points. Process prescription requests from repeat, secondary care and as per GP requests. Deal with patient enquiries both face to face, via tasks and over the telephone. Dispose of patient returned, unused medicines and sharps bin returns. Bag dispensed items as appropriate to await collection.
